Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 March 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how QR Hound, operated by Outfront Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our service.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide a better user experience. Similar technologies such as local storage serve comparable purposes.

2. How We Use Cookies

We only use strictly necessary cookies and local storage. These are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics.

3. Cookies and Storage We Set

NameTypePurposeExpires
auth_tokenLocal storageStores your authentication token to keep you logged in.Until logout or token expiry
auth_team_idLocal storageRemembers which team you last had active.Until logout
auth_token_expires_atLocal storageStores the expiry time of your session so we can sign you out automatically.Until logout or token expiry

4. Third-Party Cookies

When you make a payment, Stripe, Inc. may set cookies on their hosted payment pages to prevent fraud and ensure secure transactions. These cookies are set by Stripe and are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy. We have no control over them.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or social media cookies.

5. Managing Cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary storage, there is no cookie consent banner on QR Hound. If you wish to remove the local storage items we set, you can do so through your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage). Note that doing so will log you out of the service.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent QR Hound from working correctly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we change the technologies we use. Any changes will be reflected here with an updated “last updated” date.

7. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at privacy@qrhound.co.uk.
